O-M-G! I have fallen Hard and Fast for Bo Bennett. He’s a true southern gentleman, his momma raised him right! He had major league dreams, that was his goal and nothing was going to get in the way of that. He didn’t get caught up in the limelight or Hollywood parts of major league sports. He really had love for the game and motivation to succeed. Charlotte “Lola†Carradine is the beautiful rockstar with a troubled past. One look is all is takes and he is instantly drawn to her. I love the way they meet and the early text messages and interactions between them. The first date/not date is THE.BEST.EVER. From early on, Bo sees her for the caring beautiful person she is. She has been through some stuff and she is trying hard to earn her reputation back and she is working on her comeback record. Delicious 😋 Bo, brought her Mojo back! It’s fun to watch the relationship develop between them.It’s sweet, but oh so super hot 🥵 🔥 Bo Bennett is the best of everything . He is loving, sweet, protective, strong and even though he all sweet he can throw you down and love you good. Can I get an Amen?! 🔥♥ï¸âï¸ðŸ˜‰ They were meant for each other. They share a connection only certain people have(won’t give spoilers).That has potential to strengthened the bond they have if she can get over thinking’s she isn’t good enough for Bo and that he deserves better? I love Bo’s parents and Charlotte’s Sister, Casey. Davies and Mack are so loveable in their own way too♥ï¸â™¥ï¸ these supporting characters are some of my favorites out of books I have recently read! I want I want a Casey, Davies and Mack in my life! You need to read this book. It’s one you don’t want to miss.
*I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review , but I love it so much I plan to purchase a print copy of my own because it was that great and I want to support the Authors! - All of Jiffy Kate’s books are at the top of my “Most Favorites†list and The Rookie and the Rockstar just made it’s way there too! Bo and Charlotte’s story is sweet, funny and steamy all rolled into one wonderful book. Bo is a rookie for the New Orleans Revelers baseball team and doesn’t have time for a distraction like rockstar Charlotte, who’s on a mission to get her respectability back. You can’t stop a steamroller though and their attraction can’t be denied. This book was hard to put down and well worth the time!
- I normally love every book written by Jiffy Kate, but sadly this one was kind of hard for me to really get into. To me, the story was sort of slow at the beginning, but I soldiered on, and about midway thru the book I truly started to enjoy the story. I loved the theme of the opposites attract characters. Bo and Lola truly were meant for each other and after going thru everything, their love succeeded with a beautiful HEA. They had so many similarities in their upbringing and were basically good people and deserved their happiness. I look forward to read any future books written by Jiffy Kate, they have become 2 of my go-to authors.
- WOW!!!!! Just WOW!! I have loved all of the books I've read by Jiffy Kate, but to be honest, the title of this book had me questioning how good it would be. All I have to say is that DON'T let the title fool you - this is one of the best books I've read this year!!!!
The hero is Bo Bennett, a baseball rookie with the New Orleans Revelers. Baseball has been his life and he's finally made it to the big leagues. He's a good guy, Southern gentleman, who is just a nice guy that wants to play baseball with no distractions. There is nothing to not love about Bo!!!!! His only fault is that he doesn't want to deal with any of the things that come with being a professional athlete - like the fame, photographers, indorsements, etc.
Charolette/Lola Carradine is a former child star and rock singer. She is performing at the benefit gala that Bo has to attend to support his team. Their's is an unlikely meeting, or seems like it at first. They're really more alike then they even know.
I loved watching their relationship grow and blossom. They really were made for each other. They balanced each other out, even when outside influences tried to get in the way.
The secondary characters were great!!! LOVED Casey, Charlotte's little sister and housemate. She was so real, which Charlotte needed in her life. She was also the voice of reason most of the time. Bo's parents were great! They loved and accepted Charlotte and Casey with open arms and supported their son, no matter what. Of course, as in most stories, there is the one character everyone wants to see rot in Hell, in this book it's Terry!!! HATED HIM!!! He was the worst part of Charlotte's world, as her manager. He used her and exploited her every chance he got!
This literally was one of the best books I've read this year!! I highly recommend it to everyone! It has the right amount of raw emotion, laughs, heart, and angst to make it perfect. - I am a sucker for a good sports romance and Jiffy Kate's new release did not disappoint! I fell in love with Bo and Charlotte! Bo the new up and coming Rookie for the Revelers stumbles upon Rockstar Lola Carradine at a charity gala. The focused sports star and the notoriously wild rocker are the least likely combo to hook up, but these two lit up the pages in a super fun, swoon worthy read. This book was truly a fun read!
